How long have you been playing? I have been playing for about 7 years. 3 years for tournament style ball.
How did you get started? My buddy down the street had an old Brass Eagle Stingray II we used to shoot around, and I started reading his APG's and got hooked. I begged my parents all year from when i was 13, and when I turned 14 they took me to Top Gun Paintball in New Jersey. I didn't shoot anybody out all day, and used a crappy Tippman Pro-Carbine, but I had the most fun I have ever had in my life. I was hooked from then on. I got into speedball style ball about 2 years later, but only did it recreationally at the end of the day. Once I went to Drexel University, I got involved with the paintball team there and fell in love with Speedball, especially Xball. I have been progressing ever since, striving to become better with every practice, and have fun.
What are your goals for paintball? Eventually, it would nice to go pro, at least for maybe one tournament. I plan on becoming more involved in the sport once I graduate from College, eventually owning a paintball company, a field, and a pro team.
What is your favorite tournament? By far, College Nationals every April is amazing. The comradery of the players is awesome, and everyone is there just to have fun. The only things on the line is pride, and it makes for a totally different atmosphere than a PSP or NPPL event. Out of the PSP events I have been to, Chicago has always been awesome. School just let out for the summer, so there are tons of teams, its always great weather, and the Bolingbrook venue is awesome. Its so great to see paintball brought right to people's doorsteps.
Who is your paintball idol? This is kind of a tough one, because I like so many people in this community, but I don't strive to be in those people's places. I think a more appropriate question would be, who are the guys that I have most fun being around and building a lasting relationship with. A couple people come to mind. Tim Deasy, he's always been there since I became more openly involved with the paintball community, and we always have a blast on and off the field. Eric House is a standup guy, and whenever we chill together, its so much fun. Plus, he is a great listener and really fun to coach him. The entire Drexel Paintball team, and everyone who has been involved with it. I really love my teamates, and love how we have all progressed from noobs to a really solid paintball team. We have a lot of fun hanging out, and its great to grow as players together. Also, Kai Williams has been there for me as a teamate when I played with the Ranjerz, and I really look up to him as a business person and friend. Kenny Rosenburg is another friend, and hanging out with him at PSP events is always chill, and its nice to see a Pro player that is so down to earth. JC Whittington is also kind of an idol of mine, hes a straight up baller, and a great guy.
What teams have you been apart of? So far, I have played with Jersey Revolt, Drexel University, and the Jersey Ranjerz.
What are your favorite moments in paintball? Blowing somebody's head off. haha. That and relaxing with my friends between games and afterwards.
What do you love most about the sport? It's hard to describe, and I don't want to sound cliche, but the adrenaline rush I get when I hear ten seconds or when I see the clock click down to the buzzer is one of the greatest feelings ever. Between that and the comradery, its pretty awesome.
Favorite piece of headwear? My Warped Kustoms Desert Digital Camo band with custom "Assassin" print.
What do you like most about WK? I really like the owner Kyle the most. Not only is he a serious business person, but he's very down to earth and relates easily to his customers. He makes a superior product, and follows through with amazing customer service. You order something from Warped, you should expect the best, because you are getting it.
