East Coast Army: How it came to be.
By Seth Bridges
I saw what HK did to ballers on the West Coast. Something that just couldn't be replicated on the East, but If you know me, You would know I don't give up easily. I had to try. I searched around to see if there were any big East Coast groups and couldn't find any! I was kind of disappointed that nothing had been done to help the East Coast populate with paintballers. I knew right there something had to be done. I made a group, at first it was just kids at my local field that were my friends that supported anything we all liked. It then got bigger, decided to throw it up on PbNation to make it huge. It took a while but users started posting in there and on a pretty regular basis. We then had 100 members, then 200, then it was at the point, my 400 PM limit box was full every time I accessed a computer about ECA. It was hey add me, or hey where can i get this or that. At that point, everyone knew the list had to go. After that users were free to come and go, as they really always were but it was more of a group to feel proud about balling for then a group that was proud to have you balling for them.
Then, Lenny Emery came into the picture. I had seen him many times at a local field. He started posting in the forum, talking to kids, and just being really active in the thread. Then he realized help was needed to make it get bigger and took it in his own hands to do that. He is the film guy for the New England Hurricanes, so he had made some good friends with all the guys from the canes and so he talked to Jeff Stein, about getting ECA with NEH. Then Jeff and I started talking, agreeing it would be a great thing, and the move happened.
We started posting in the Hurricane's forum, where it will always be home of ECA, in some way or another. Talking with pro players, and getting lots of users to join. I think this was really the turning point of us because people were realizing that it wasn't just a small time group or wanna be hk thing, that it was an actual group, represented by a great pro team.
Then Jdev came, whether we wanted him or not....

He brought to us, his great "merch" techniques, ninja like, and put alot of money and work into getting our users, supplied with only the finest ECA gear.
It was then when we really found out, it was time to go really big, or go home.
I want to thank everyone who has supported, helped and done anything to help ECA succeed, without you guys, ECA wouldn't be where it is now.
